El dúo de hermanos cordobeses ocupó uno de los escenarios principales con el sol tajando la nuca de la audiencia de La Nueva Generación. Valdes, que en vivo se expande a cuarteto incorporando bajo y batería electrónica (mezclada con pistas), dio un show a puro agite y baile como si el horario fuera el eje de la fiesta. Minimalistas, todos estaban vestidos en composé de pantalones caqui y paleta beige, medias de merchandising de la banda y anteojos de sol. Pancho Valdés cantó y bailó con una voz característica y bien definida sobre las bases que oscilaron entre el pop y el house, Eduardo Valdés intercaló sintetizadores y guitarras. Los bajos, tan perfectos para el género, elevaron la propuesta bailable a un nuevo nivel. Con una actitud bordeando lo estoico, el bajista se lució con líneas melódicas que solo invitaron a gozar más el groove.
Sonó ‘Gris’, canción instrumental que titula su último trabajo discográfico, editado este mismo año, y los pies del público levantaron polvo desde el piso del Hipódromo, siguiendo el ejemplo de Pancho que se acercó al borde del escenario para bailar con mucho estilo, igual que en el Personal Fest una semana antes. “Tenemos una invitada”, dijo al tema siguiente, y se corrió a un lado del escenario para darle entrada a Zoe Gotusso, cantante de Salvapantallas, con quien hicieron una versión de ‘No sé’, llevando al vivo la colaboración de estudio. “No queremos dejar a nadie bailando sole, sola o solo”, dijo Pancho y un arpegiador comenzó a construir la base bailable que ocupó los parlantes; pidieron palmas mientras se despedían y cerraron el show con ‘Bailar Sola’, hit de su primer disco que se coreó palabra por palabra en bocas de un público sumido en la nube de polvo seco que el baile levantó.
