Joven, positivo y prometedor, Justo Lynch presenta su EP Cómo Evadirse en 2 Pasos (2020), compuesto por dos canciones tan íntimas como entrañables. Aunque dista un poco de lo que fue su primer disco homónimo de 2019 o de ‘Camellos’, su último single, en este trabajo muestra un costado más personal y acústico que nos hace conectar fácilmente con el mundo que nos plantea y, en un descuido, logra hacernos sentir que estamos dentro de él. Este profundo músico platense se abre con SPE y nos habla sobre sus inspiraciones y qué es componer para él, en lo que sería lo más parecido a una radiografía mental que pueda existir.
¿Qué te inspiró a escribir ‘Casa Con Piernas’ y ‘Braulio y el Perro’? Parecen ser dos canciones que comparten el mismo universo.
Justo Lynch: Si bien surgieron en momentos muy distintos, siento que más que canciones son cuentos que fueron creados por la misma razón. Son unos de los primeros temas que compuse en tercera persona y nacieron a partir de mis sensaciones y deseos de escaparme de una realidad, por eso el título del EP.
Antes de iniciar tu carrera solista participaste en algunos grupos musicales. ¿Extrañás algo de esa época?
JL: Sí, la parte humana. Siempre toqué en vivo con una banda en mi proyecto solista, pero extraño las cosas pequeñas como los ensayos. En cuanto a lo estrictamente musical, los conjuntos en los que participé no tenían un proceso de composición grupal como tal, algo de lo que disfruto mucho hoy en día. De hecho, estoy pensando en apostar por formar algo nuevo, dejando un poco de lado lo que es Justo Lynch.
“CREO QUE MI PRIMER ÁLBUM NO ES PARÁMETRO DE NADA”
¿Y qué es lo que más te gusta de trabajar como solista?
JL: Te voy a decir algo que no me gusta: el hecho de ser totalmente responsable por lo que ocurre. Yo soy el que responde por todo y que esto lleve mi nombre significa un gran peso en mi espalda. Cuando uno es parte de un grupo, esa presión está dividida entre todos sus integrantes y las cosas se hacen más fáciles. Actualmente, aunque seamos un grupo de amigos tocando en vivo, la gente que nos va a ver no piensa que es una banda, sino que soy yo acompañado.
Tu primer disco tiene canciones muy diversas entre sí y pocas se parecen a lo que hiciste en Cómo Evadirse en 2 Pasos. ¿Qué fue lo que cambió entre ambos trabajos?
JL: Creo que mi primer álbum no es parámetro de nada. Fue compuesto y grabado en cuatro o cinco meses y surgió a partir de una mezcla esquizofrénica de las primeras canciones que sentí que podían ser parte de un trabajo. Aunque no tienen un hilo conductor como tal, se puede encontrar cierta relación entre los temas y también se nota la manía que tengo por no estancarme en ningún estilo en particular. Si una persona siente millones de cosas, no está bueno encasillarse. A veces me siento como Braulio y otras me siento más rockero como en ‘No Entiendo’.
¿Hay alguna canción en particular que represente mejor tu esencia como persona y como músico?
JL: Por más que sea algo distinto a lo que venía haciendo, ‘Casa Con Piernas’ representa tanto mi musicalidad como mi positividad. Además, es una canción muy intimista que puedo tocar solo en una habitación o con la banda completa y nunca perdería su fuerza. Y del disco anterior, ‘Mística Like’ me genera algo re piola; no me preguntes por qué, pero me encanta.
¿De qué artista te nutrís más en tu carrera?
JL: Babasónicos, sin dudas. La banda como tal y Adrian Dárgelos como frontman me inspiraron a iniciarme en el mundo de la música, y actualmente siguen siendo igual de influyentes. Igual me nutro de muchas cosas, estoy en un punto en el que me inspiro de todo un poco.
¿Pudiste encontrar algo positivo en esta cuarentena?
JL: La verdad que en la cuarentena hice los mejores temas de mi vida. A pesar de todo lo que significa estar encerrado, desde el lado artístico no necesito nada más que estar en mi habitación con la guitarra. Siento que por primera vez pude grabar cosas tranquilo y, más importante, las pude hacer sonar exactamente como las imaginaba en mi cabeza. Salieron unos demos muy buenos.
¿Con qué artistas te gustaría colaborar?
JL: Siento que con Unknown Mortal Orchesta podría salir algo muy loco y nos complementaríamos muy bien. También me gustaría trabajar con algún rapero como Kendrick Lamar.
Ya sea que lo acompañe una orquesta completa o su guitarra criolla, Justo Lynch es una persona fiel a su estilo.
