Con tan solo 20 años, FABIO sacó su primera canción titulada ‘Puede Ser’. La misma fue escrita, producida y compuesta por él mismo, y presenta una propuesta sonora popera que da lugar a la melancolía, buscando salirse del molde tradicional con su propia estética y contando historias singulares. El joven cantautor charló con SPE y nos contó su experiencia debutando como músico independiente.
¿En qué momento te diste cuenta de que la música era tu fuerte?
FABIO: Desde chico toco la guitarra y a los 16 empecé a escribir, pero no sentía que la rompía. De igual manera, a los 18 empecé a estudiar música y noté que se me daba bien cuando una compañera de la escuela me pidió que le hiciera la producción de una canción. Para ser mi primera vez me sentí muy cómodo y entendí que funcionaba bien haciéndolo.
¿Qué es lo que más destacás de ‘Puede Ser’?
F: Fue un trabajo muy distinto al que venía haciendo. Siento que es muy completo: las texturas, las voces, las ideas... En septiembre del año pasado saqué un tema en Spotify y hace poco lo eliminé porque no me cerraba por ningún lado; ‘Puede Ser’ me representa y sé que en un año no la voy a estar borrando, ya que la dejé muy íntegra al tener cada aspecto una coherencia y una solidez.
Produjiste, compusiste y escribiste la canción vos solo. ¿Necesitás referentes que opinen?
F: Siempre trato de compartir pero recién al final. A mí me funciona hacer el proceso solo y que, una vez que el tema esté terminado, me den una opinión. Igualmente no me dejan de surgir dudas, y en ese caso sí acudo a mis amigos para que las despejen o me las afirmen. Estar en la escuela de música me amplía muchísimo la perspectiva y me nutro de mis compañeros, porque vienen todos de un palo distinto y la mayoría son más grandes que yo.

¿Por qué el contraste de una letra triste con un ritmo bailable?
F: Me gustan mucho Miranda! y Tan Biónica, y sus canciones son re tristes pero con un beat súper electrónico. No me parece que sea un contraste sino un complemento; es como lo agridulce, y por algo funciona tan bien.
¿Qué expectativas tenés de tu carrera musical?
F: En cuanto a mi proyecto personal, me interesa que circule y que guste para poder aportar lo que tengo para ofrecer. Estoy recién empezando y quiero presentar algo nuevo en la escena argentina: mostrar sonidos e ideas originales en el pop. Siento que hace años no hay nada interesante ni refrescante, es casi todo lo mismo. Sin embargo, me entretiene más producir para otros y ayudarlos a encontrar el sonido que buscan.
¿Qué te llevó de producir para los demás a hacerlo para vos mismo?
F: Sé que es divertido que te entrevisten y ser reconocido, pero sinceramente no me gusta estar en el foco y por eso prefiero quedarme en la producción. Si bien soy introvertido, elegí mostrarme para desafiar mi timidez y salir de la zona de confort. Una vez que saqué mis ideas de adentro pensé: “Llegué hasta acá y no es tan malo”.
