El hip hop es el movimiento más representativo de esta época. Los nombres son conocidos: artistas como Duki, Paulo Londra, Ecko y Cazzu son algunas de las caras más visibles de una nueva sub-cultura que le da refugio a miles de jóvenes. Pero yendo en contra de esa marea, y fieles a las raíces del hip hop, se encuentran artistas como Agustín Cruz, quien no desprecia ni quita mérito a los traperos, pero definitivamente toma la decisión política de mantenerse haciendo rap clásico, boom-bap, en una era predominada por los hi-hats y los ritmos hechos en una 808.
El año pasado, Acru editó su segundo disco, Anonimato, uno de los mejores de rap hispano del 2018, y su tour lo trajo a Niceto este viernes 28 de junio, a una sala agotada hace días que estaba lista para coronarlo como el rey del rap argentino actual, pero que se llevó mucho más que un mero recital. La previa fue lo más rapera que un show ATP en Niceto se permite ser: sonó desde Eminen hasta SFDK, mientras figuras de la escena como Klan o el DJ y beatmaker Sone se paseaban por el lugar.
Faqqkundo fue el encargado de abrir el show calentando al público con temas familiares, cuyos mejores versos eran aplaudidos como si de una sorpresa se tratase, y, después de una corta pausa con Haze en las pistas, Acru salió listo para lo que sería una de las noches más importantes de su carrera.
‘Energy’ dio el pie y, aunque la gente hacía lo que podía por seguir la letra, el rapero dejó claro desde el inicio que sacaría a relucir todos sus dotes: estar a su altura era un desafío. Mientras rapeaba era mejor admirar, aunque más adelante, en temas como ‘Hábil’, los coros invitaron a todo el recinto a cantar y saltar de un lado al otro. Acru se maneja muy bien con los matices que tiene su show, y cada barra es rapeada con la mezcla de convicción y tecnicismo necesaria. Lo que más resalta es cuánto logra transmitir empleando solo su voz y su presencia. Sea cual sea el tema que trate —su vida, el rap o la muerte—, Acru muestra la sensatez para abordar cada uno de la manera correcta y llegar a quien escucha. El tucumano tiene letras que hablan por sí solas y, junto con su personalidad, le dan las armas necesarias para pararse en un escenario con nada más que un micrófono en la mano.
La humildad es un rasgo característico del rapero, que no dejó pasar la oportunidad para usar su exposición como plataforma para algunos artistas incipientes: Brapo de Rosario, Zanto de Córdoba y Urbanse intervinieron en un par de temas, y fueron gratamente recibidos por la audiencia.
Otro de los chequeos de realidad de la noche fue el emotivo discurso del rapero hacia sus padres, donde reconoció directamente la delicada situación en la que creció, con un papá enfermo y una mamá que hacía lo que podía para que nunca le faltara nada, pero que siempre creyeron en él, a pesar de no entender a priori el mundo en el que su hijo se metía. La presencia de ambos, que por primera vez veían su show (y qué show), y la emoción del momento conmovieron a varias personas hasta las lágrimas y sumergieron a todo el lugar en infinitos aplausos y cánticos para toda la familia Cruz.
Aunque, como dijimos antes, hay muchas malas consecuencias de la viralización de esta cultura, el momento dio para reflexionar sobre la gran otra cara de la moneda: ¿cuánto importa realmente que un mayor no pueda tomarse una cerveza porque el show es ATP si el artista puede comer de eso? Si una familia puede salir de una situación complicada, a costo de que algo no sea tan puro como lo era antes, ¿es realmente algo malo?
